50th Birthday Bash

Class Party!!

Eagles Club, 1200 W. Galena Ave., Freeport, IL

Time: 6pm-Midnight

Fee: $15 Per Person

Join the FHS Classmates of the Class of 1978 as we all celebrate our 50th birthdays!

6pm-9pm: Party and Program for Classmates and their spouse/guest

Sandwiches, snack food, birthday cake, and cash bar will be available

50 Door prizes (10 worth $50) and a 50/50 drawing

9pm: Open to family/friends (21 and over) with a $5 cover charge. Classmates not attending earlier may come 9pm or later for $5

9pm-Midnight: "Somebody And The Really Somethings" featuring classmate John Hershberger

After 9pm only the band and cash bar will be available

IT’S A BIRTHDAY HAT CONTEST FOR YOUR BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!!

 Design a hat for the birthday hat contest!!

 Criteria: It must be able to be worn on your head the night of the birthday bash, other than that, anything goes. In case you’re wondering if you should do what you have in mind… yeah… we dare you! After all, you only turn 50 once!

Judging: By your classmates the night of the birthday bash.   Judging criteria: None, therefore, your classmates will get a chance to vote for any hat based upon any criteria they desire.  Prize: Yep, there’ll be at least one. What? Don’t know yet, don’t think I’d say if I did know anyway. J

June 12, 2010

$15 per classmate and spouse/guest for 6pm – midnight

-         no refund to leave early or come late once paid

 50 Door prizes

-         10 - $50 door prizes  - must preregister to be eligible to win

-         Drawing at 7:30 pm – must be present to win

 -         40 additional door prizes

-         Drawing at 8:00 pm – eligible to win if you pay at the door, must be present to win, can win one of these if you also won a $50 door prize

 50/50 Drawing

-         Tickets sold only at the event from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

-         1 for $1 or 6 for $5

-         2 chances to win ½ the pot, if same person’s tickets are drawn twice they win it all

-         Must be present to win

-         Drawing to be held following door prize drawing

Only $5 per person 9pm or after (classmate/spouse/guest/family/friend/people from other classes, etc. Does not apply if you register in advance or come earlier at the door, as it is included in the $15 price for the entire evening.

 Additional events:

Friday, June 11, 2010 – 7pm - ??

-         No charge get together at Eilert’s, 1100 W. Galena Ave., Freeport (next to Bowling alley)

-         not part of the Birthday Bash, but another way to gather and mingle with friends 

Saturday, June 12, 2010 – Time: (AS OF PRINTING TIME – FHS IS UNABLE TO CONFIRM UNTIL 5/1/10. Please check the website or call Nancy after 5/1 for an update. Thanks.)

-         Tour of Freeport High School

-         Park in the west teacher’s parking lot (enter on Empire St.) – This is the lot closest to West Ave.

-         No charge, and feel free to bring the family

 We are not doing class directories for this event.
