Due to the extremely unexpected date of this reunion we are VERY
disappointed to say that this will be the first reunion that we
won’t be able to make. We fully expected this to be in the summer
and planned and took 2 trips back to Freeport this summer. We have
travel plans for Nov 8th weekend and Thanksgiving and the
reunion is too close to it. We both were very upset when this date
was chosen as well as many other people that we have talked to. I
sure hope that a lesson was learned to not wait until the last
minute to reserve a space. At least that is what it appears like. We
have been looking for info on this for the last 2 years. I realize
that this party takes a lot of time and doesn’t pay but I would
think that reserving a spot and picking a date is the easiest part.
I know the response will be to put us on the committee next time. We
live in the Dallas area and really can’t do much because of our
location but I will be Glad to assist in the Date planning and
location. I would think we would want it around Fair time so a lot
of people that a moved away could come back and enjoy the fair also.
